A fun singing dentist that makes you forget you’re at the dentist? That’s Dr. Heath.
After years of moving around for training and education, Dr. Heath and his family settled down in McKinney, TX where he opened Melissa Pediatric DentistryGo to Home page. He’s a father of two rambunctiously wonderful girls, Caroline and Kate, a husband to Elizabeth (an orthodontist), and a dog dad to Molly and Scotch.
Dr. Heath’s career path has been anything but conventional. He evolved from an aspiring professor, barista, and cardiac support specialist to a dentist for children and patients with medically complex conditions and special needs.
Today, he’s on a mission to help kids and their families discover a better dental experience filled with great dentistry and a splash of fun. Dr. Heath doesn’t forget song lyrics! For this reason, he spends the day singing songs while kicking it with kiddos and checking out their chompers.

Hobbies
In his spare time, Dr. Heath enjoys playing golf and tennis. In addition, he uses any chance to get outside with his family – walking, hiking, swimming, etc.
When inspiration strikes, he also loves creating splatter paintings. (They’re on display in the office.)

His Hero
It might be cliche, but Dr. Heath’s heroes are his parents. Our dentist grew up watching them sacrifice so that they could provide and care for the family.
His parents showed what hard work and dedication can achieve. His parents also showed him what a successful marriage looks like and how to care for others.
Dr. Heath remembers the saying, “It’s okay if you try and fail, but you’ll never know unless you try.”

Best Day Ever
Our dentist’s best day ever is a combination of two days:
1. When his first daughter was born. Dr. Heath became a father and discovered a new depth of love and connection for his wife and new child.
2. When his second daughter was born. The same day, Dr. Heath also found out he matched for the Texas A&M Baylor Pediatric Dentistry Residency.
